have been in Wilmington since Thursday night. was so great. blakery and i celebrated anniversary, saw friends (TEAM BLOUGH? IN OUR WILMINGTON? It's more likely than you think!), walked EVERYWHERE (would be so, so skinny if lived in wilmington. beautiful stuff everywhere, beautiful weather, stuff like old churches to explore, manned by friendly Episcopalian priests who cheerfully encourage one to attend the soon-starting service, or happily continue exploring, both are okay, and Port City Java everywhere, will explain more on the PCJ phenomenon in a moment) and ate like a monster (maybe would not be skinny if lived in Wilmington.)

List of Things I Miss About Wilmington When I Come Back to NoVA -
1. Bojangles Chicken Biscuits.
2. Buffalo Wild Wings.
3. The fact that there are three potential places we stay when down there: Blake's mother's house, which is like some awesome sunshiney Ya-Ya palace; the Beach House, which is huge and fun and does not retain the smell of pot smoke; and David's (the mother's boyfriend's) condo, which is like basically if  Mr. Big from Sex and the City and GASTON had a condo on the riverfront. It's like all hardwood and leather and GONGS and WEIRD STUFF THAT IS AWESOME like a huge steam shower that is as big as Blake and I's kitchen.
4. Port City Java (it's just. really good coffee. and they're totally green and nice and it's a chain but only a Wilmington chain WHY WHY COME UP HERE PLZ. their cranberry muffins are like a ball of friendly butter.)
5. Cook-out. (On the way down, but still worth a mention, as the best drive-thru in the world.)
6. Eating dinner out over the ocean on a full moon night
7. BASICALLY THIS WHOLE LIST IS ABOUT FOOD.
8. Oh my god, except this one, the most important one, the SUN AND SEEEEA!

so yeah. FEEBEACH this summer and just let me tell you. someday. i will live in that town. not now though. am still young enough that location of friends can help dictate my decisions. :D

( 9. THE TAP WATER TASTES REALLY GOOD, i mean it. the ice is so good.)

Negative Points -
1. Thanks to the proximity of the beach and delicious food, i would have no job or motivation to do anything worthwhile if i lived down there. HAH. :D

in other karmic news, because i stomped a bunch of children at lazer tag and TK'ed kevin about 7 times, in the next game i came around a corner opposite of Drew and ate his gun right in the eye, giving me a wee little shiner.

( terra_firma, by the by, makes the awesomest little mini-Jiraiya you will ever see in your whole life. and strawbrrysprite was Tsunade and i was really sad that i haven't made Orochimaru yet.)

sooo this weekend for audrey's birthday i will DEFINITELY be playing lazer tag in my Shizune costume. SHIZUNEEEE! i also want better pics of that costume, while i'm at it. well, and it's about getting drunk and playing video games and sparring at mikey's house. i'm a little way too excited. does ANYONE WHO IS GOING have a game cube?!? cos i think we need to have smash-time. even though i'm way better with Mario, i will champion my BARA NO AUDREY as Pika-pika-pikachu.

i actually did something today i haven't done since about a week before katsucon and fixed myself a healthy, proper yummy lunch. i like lunch. lunch is easy, it's salads and sandwiches and hard boiled eggs. Dinner is where i panic and eat cereal or frozen pizza. but i make pot roast sometimes! and i fried chicken and made twice baked red potatoes to go with it! anyone know of any easy, yummy recipes? plz to be sharing?

We were going to have to go to North Carolina this weekend to see blake's sister's play, but the weather got bad everywhere so now i get to stay home, HUZZAH.

last night i cleaned and made guacamole and drank most of a bottle of wine, but it was nice to relax and get some stuff done. i went SUPAA shopping with audrey the other day and bought a bunch of stuff, mostly to wear in NC, but i guess i will just wear cute stuff this weekend! like my crazy Peruvian sweaterdress and BUTTERFLY POWER BELT and MOON BOOTS. so basically my point of fashion is I WISH I WERE A SUPERHERO.

now i eat waffles. today i need to buy a lamp from Ikea, and make a dressform so i can start on GHOST IN THE SHELL COSPLAY!!! *pelvicthrust*

katsucon was epic. epic epic epic. I made lots of new friends, umister, angelsamui, and others like Kirby and Chico and Winters-Knight Jen and Carol Ann whose El-Jays i do not have. And i saw other friends that i already knew about too. You guys know who you are. :D

 i fixed it all up and stuff so it sucked a lot less than it did at AUSA, with the help of strawbrrysprite burning her fingers off at 2am and also with the help of Blake wearing it while he played Ultimate Ninja 2 so i could work on it. THANK YOU GUUUUUYS. i was so happy. ;_;

i decided it was a better idea to spend the last few hours eating Taco Bell and seducing Blake. i mean, it was definitely more AWESOME to do that than to cosplay, but yanno. i gotta finish this crap.
