Friday - Bulma with TEAM DBZ GO SQUAD AND HONOR ROLL BABY WIG-CHAN
Saturday - Magus with Audrey! Lionel shoot, dealer's room, general irresponsible McDonald's flavored dickery.

Saturday night - OPTIONS OPTIONS:
- NOT Kefka. I know a few people wanted me to wear him again, but it involves fasting and prayer and serious effort and I still hate my wig. :C
- Sailor Mars? Maybe? I've worn it a lot and I get REALLY self conscious about the bigness of my legs, but I do feel pretty in it.
- Steampunk Socialite? An outfit I made for a LARP and have only gotten to wear once. Not SUPER Steampunky, more like an early 1900s silhouette with vintage heavy-buckled corset and a hat with metal bits. Pros - Boobs, feel like a lady, I made my hat from a basket. Cons - Not really a character, not really super steampunk.
-Samurai Armor from D*C. Pros - Impressive, shiny, I spent a billion hours on it and should wear it again. Cons - uncomfortable, shows my tummy so that limits my McDonalds and teppanyaki times, have to fix sashimoto, also not really a character.
- Mia from Lunar? Pros - Cute, comfy. Cons - Audrey's Luna isn't ready to wear right now (which i totally sympathize, hence no Utena) so I'd be alone, not very recognizable, kind of dumpy. (it's a pink nightgown.)
- Sasuke and Whitemane would both be great, but they're both a little beat up from last wearing, and I don't have the time to fix.

So yeah. Mars, Steampunk, Samurai or Mia? Halp!

Today seriously went from lonely hormonal miserable mucking up lazy lady crap,


to awesome dinner, great music, fantastic lovin', pink roses, chocolate and sweet coffee, the Office re-runs, and finding lost items, all with a man who wants nothing more than to spend the evening organizing our closet and setting up the sewing room upstairs. Gotta get it all done now so I can crank out my Magus cosplay for AUSA!

I am so bad about updating, but I read LJ every day, like. religiously.

~ Job is still good. For once in my life I feel like i'm being paid what I should make. Getting better at it.
~ Playing lots of WoW. Trying to keep up with all my dearly patient friends who played hardcore for the year or so that I spent either letting my account lapse, or dicking around doing achievements. Getting better at it?
~ Bunnies are fat. Really fat. Obese.
~ Speaking of things that have gained a lot of weight.....haha. Job involves a lot of ass-sitting. Working more movement into my day, like daily walks and standing up whenever I'm on the phone. I've actually lost about 5lbs really quickly, which is like my body's way of saying 'see, just drink more water and move your butt and stop eating Black Jack Tacos. it's not hard.'
~ WEDDING. Blake and I are super excited. HONEYMOON. Also super excited.
~ I feel like I'm getting sick. ;A;
~ I'm going to AUSA - wearing Magus with Audrey's Schala, and Yuuko if I can finish it. Hope so!

~ Dragon*Con was AMAZING. Better than I could have even hoped. I'm glad I only made 2 new costumes, and LOVED how both turned out. I have minimal pics right now, (i'll try and post some tonight,) but here's my basic rundown:

Thursday was a LONG LONG DRIVE. We got to eat Cookout, though, and I slept and played Mario DS like it was my damn job. Thursday night I worked on finishing up costumes and ate Mexican food and watched a little bit of Runway. Friday was also a blast - we got into our costumes for our big Firefly group, but good lord - for some reason (that reason being I'm a tubster) that costume was the most uncomfortable thing I wore ALL weekend. That skirt was wrapped TIGHT and by the end of the day my hips were KILLING me from shuffling around in it. I wanted to party but I realized I had two more nights where I could party so I just ate....something, I don't remember what, and finished Whitemane and slept. Oh, and I ran into my girl ryoko and Tom Cruise but I had gravy on my sari so YANNO I'M GLAD I ALWAYS LOOK HOT WHEN I SEE MY FRIENDS. Oh and I met Terry Gilliam and went to his panel and basically spent like 50% of my day either listening to Terry Gilliam talk or waiting in line to meet him but WORTH WORTH WORTH IT I LOVE THAT MAN.

Saturday was the DAY, MAN.  I'm glad we were able to make it down to the parade in our World of Warcraft outfits, thanks to the rain mercifully letting up - (i wasn't stoked about drenching my corset and wig, and terra_firma was painted purple and wearing a white dress, we were so not about to go out in the rain.) There are a few pics of us floating around as Tyrande Whisperwind (audrey the purple nelf) and Inquisitor Whitemane (me as what seriously looked like a catholic mistress) - but the really good ones are on our cameras (hers and mine) and I'll post more of them later. Also ran into s0nified and her man, and blackmarth. Hurray! Then Audrey, Blake and I ordered pizzas and they didn't arrive until like 20 minutes before we had to start WALKING OVER TO THE DAMN HYATT so we ran and i had no makeup and my shoes + a bokken in my hands. oh_frabjous_day  and I entered the Dawn Look-a-like contest as a Dragon*Con rite of passage and me as a Dawn fan, and we won the Dramatica award because Blake is a super sexy Death Samurai Guy. Oh, yeah, that was our concept - Samurai Dawn and Death. (I was so stoked about this idea - I did everything in white and red to be reminsicent of Amaterasu, the 'Rising Sun' on my skirt is supposed to be a nod at 'Dawn', I had a white wolf mask I made to hang on my belt but the ear broke off...anyway, I loved this costume.) Apparently it went over well! There are a few pics of us on stage on Flickr, I'm a little hateful of one thing about that costume - to make the armored belt stay up with the second-rate spankies I was wearing (the spankies I wanted to wear got left at home,) I kind of had to give myself CRUCIAL muffin-top. Not very flattering. Oh well. Some pics! -

I was seduced by the series because the beginning was good and and and i love hot vampires. Then I didn't like the rest of the series and was like 'I'm not going back there!' And then it was like 'read the manga, Tini.' So I did. And it was like 'okay this is awesome! And now there are OAVs!' and they were great. And then the manga ENDED ALL DUMB and with NOT ENOUGH AxI FOR MY TASTES AND TOO MUCH SCHRODINGER AND ROBOTS AND AND AND. I'm just. I'm not going back there, guys. And most Hellsing cosplayers are crazy people.

Oh, Evangelion. Is actually insane. I mean it makes sense and for a while I was like 'yeah! YEAH YOU HAVE A POINT MAN WE SHOULD STOP SEPERATING OURSELVES WITH OUR BODIES AND JUST wait just what like just turn into goo? Hideki Anno you are a weird hikikomori' and I still love it. But man. Per-spec-tive.

♥ The one you spent a whole weekend in bed with and who drank up all your liquor, and whom you'd still really like to fuck again although you're relieved he doesn't actually live in town.
Kingdom Hearts. LOVED LOVED LOVED that game, spent a whirlwind snowstorm playing it obsessively, but I hear the neighborhood is full of pedos and freakshows. (the first one only; see below)

So yeah. It's like my mistress. Mmmmmmm.

So I am usually a pretty chill fan, who is always sort of eager (albeit, sometimes morbidly so) to see what people do with material I love and hold dear. I figure, it's an adventure, I might like!

Oh my heavens, I went home from work early today and it was SO wonderful. My period MYSTERIOUS MONTHLY GIRLFLU OMG BOYZ ARE HERE left me feeling absolutely hit-by -a-car drained this month, so I went home at 1:30 and slept until about 6:30, woke up, ran to Home Depot for new scissors and a Twix bar (living this close to a Home Depot tempts me to make lots of crazy costumes) and came home. Made a whole wheat rotini pasta bake with lots of BEEF and lots of CHEESE and made my new weird Popeye drink of strawberries, spinach and juice in the blender. (Try it! No, seriously, try. it. It's GOOD, and filling and way better than fussing over how to eat my veggies instead of ten helpings of pasta and rice a night.) My body must have been craving iron because nothing tasted better than beef + spinach drink and oh yeah Twix bar too also must have been deficient of Twix bars. :v

Got the whole top of my Dawn armor cut out! I really want to make a progress post, but I'm trying to keep my actual idea for Dragon*Con's Dawn contest something of a secret from the internet.....but I'm so basically excited for Dragon*Con I could scream. I've never been, and I seriously am thinking it's going to be like. THE CON.

1) SCORPION - Bahahaa. Well Scorpion Clan, from L5R of course. My favorite. But they're my favorite because I'm a Scorpio and I'm kind of into that. I have a little bit of healthy pride about being good at Scorpion Things when i want/need to be, but also a lot of healthy shame being being a Scorpio makes you balls-to-the-wall crazy in some ways that can't really be helped, lol. :D

2) Greek - If ever I were born in the wrong place....(see also : India.) I have a fascination/obsession with Greece and its culture, and specifically religiously. I'm an eclectic witch, I follow a lot of Gods from a lot of Lands, but my 'patrons' are Greek - Dionysos and Aphrodite. I dig them, their families, their home, and their FOOD!!!

3) Utena - BAWWWWWWWw. My favorite anime, and one of my favorite stories from any medium ever. Specifically the main character like pulls at my heart in a serious way, because that's kind of me - I'm not a wicked Witch, and I'm not a pretty Princess. But I'm strong, I think, maybe like a Prince. :) I don't want someone to protect me, I want to protect me, and you, and everyone else I think needs it. Earlier this week Blake had me sit down and watch the entirety of The Godfather for the first time. (I know, I know, I'm 23 years old, what the hell is wrong with me, do i live under a rock, etc.) Anyway, I LOVED it, and we're at his dad's house in NC now by ourselves. Blake remembers on the car ride down that his parents have The Godfather box set, and I can watch Part II, which is lauded by many to be EVEN BETTER THAN THE FIRST SOMEHOW.

Part II is 2 DVDs long.

It isn't until the end of Disc 1 that I notice Disc 2 isn't in there.

It's not anywhere. ANYWHERE

Good morning LJ! FFF I wish I had pictures for you because I actually had a super great weekend full of productivity   with a really productive Sunday and it was super great and fun and I needed it because this week made me want to swallow a Frisbee.

Costume progress words words words:

Yoruichi-taichou - Started and finished her...'shirt' last night. Shirt. That's funny. It's like. a boobkerchief. And started ironing and stitching and mending and dying Blake's old crappy pair of black hakama because i'm a lazy ass and don't want to make my own. But they look good! A little dye and starch, and like I have to gather the bottoms anyway because they're crazy ninja hakama (???!!) and for some reason are gathered at the bottom. Still need to style her wig, sew my gauntlets and leg pieces, and ROLL MY BODY IN CARAMEL spray tan.

Bulma - Finished her dress and scarf on Friday, did most of her boots Saturday and Sunday. Need to paint details on boot armor, (wtf boot armor) make sock-tops, and style her wig WHENEVER IT SHOWS UP. You have like. a day, Professionalonly, before Strongly Worded Letters happen. And when my hat comes in I'll do that :D

Mia - Haven't touched this since Katsucon, lol. I should probably pull it out and put the finishing touches on it. Pink nightgown+boots ftw. Will probably brush out and try and use the slightly uggo curly wig i bought because the Mars wig will be worn by inject so I'm glad I have a backup.

Mars - Drive over it with my car before giving to inject so she won't wear it cause she's going to look like a billion dollars in it and i am just going to cry and follow her creepily and cry again. XD XD XD  Yup.
